The French Press Saga, Part One

Well, I finally did it. Yesterday, I finally broke down and bought a French press.

Everyone should know I’ve been unhappy with the hoops I’ve had to leap through to make a decent cup of coffee at work. To recap: before I get to work, someone always makes the coffee, and so weak that it’s undrinkable- so I’ve had to resort to “double brewing”, running the coffee through more grounds to make it decently strong. Naturally, that’s not the greatest way to go about things- I have to balance the filter on my cup, and the coffee gets cold as it filters through the second time. Plus it’s extra work and time.

And so yesterday, when RXM pointed out a mini one-cup French Press that was “just adorable”, I gave in and bought one. So it’s sitting on my desk now, all shiny and new, and I’m anticipating being able to have coffee brewed to my satisfaction whenever I want. A new day is dawning in my coffee drinking ability.

And I just had my first cup from my French Press. Perfect!

The French Press Saga Part Two

This is just wonderful- I should have bought a French Press ages ago. It's just convenient- just sitting there at my desk, waiting for me to fill it with hot water and make excellent coffee whenever I need it.

RXM said she was worried about my drinking too much coffee, and I said nonsense- look at my mother; she's drunk tons of coffee all her life, and she's as strong as an ox. A female ox. An oxette.

Anyway, time for another cup! Mmmmmm.....

The French Press Saga, Part Three

I don't know why my boss is saying I'm fidgiting, I'm not fidgiting, I'm doing work, lots of work, I've got lots of work I'm doing, so what if I'm getting up and walking around, walking is good for you.

Some people just complain too much. They should have French Presses of their very own.

My boss just asked me to not sing it any more.

People are weird. When I went to lunch late toady because I forgot the time, people were driving slow, I think just to annoy me. So I just had time to go into Blenders to get a Chocolate Bannana Peanut Butter smoothie, and I was listening to the radio, and that stupid Coors ad came on about how refreshing Coors was. So I just started talking to the guy in front of me in the line about how Coors really isn’t the most refreshing beer, and it’s really silly to think it is, and he suddenly left the store. People are really annoying.
