Scheduling my Unscheduled Weekend

Well, let's see. [personal profile] racerxmachinais out of town for the weekend, and except for a Friday get-together, nothing is scheduled for my weekend. AT ALL.  No parties, no get togethers, no trips, no film expeditions, nothing.  This is the first completly free weekend I've had in ages.  But it's not like I'm going to be bored or anything, 'cause I have a list of things to do.

  • Guitar Hero: I'll put in several hours on Guitar Hero so the next time we meet for Rock Band I'll be able to be a proper bass player.
  • Cats: I'll take some time to sit out on the porch with a cold drink, playing with the cats, who will undoubtedly be missing their mother greatly. While I'm at it, I better water those plants.
  • Hikes: two hikes, one on Saturday, and one on Sunday. I'm thinking on around Castle Rock area, and the other, maybe over somewhere to the East, say Mt. Hamilton. Or maybe find the hidden routes to the legendary Henry W. Coe State Park.
  • BBQ: I might combine the Castle Rock hike with checking out that BBQ place at the top of the 17. or I might try finding that supposedly good BBQ place in the east bay.
  • Drives: I might combine the Castle Rock hike with a drive over to Pescadero Canyon, to pick up some designer beans and other veggies at the produce store there. Or, instead of going up to Mt. Hamilton on Sunday, I may take the 152 over the pass to poke around.
  • Shopping: I need to go online and buy a new CD-Rom drive for my stupid laptop, so I can get the damn thing running again. And then I think I'll see if I can pick up a copy of Truth and Justice from one of the local game stores.
  • Books! This will be my first chance to hit the local used bookstores in ages. This will be a good thing for the evening.
  • Reading: time to trudge through the last half of Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. Maybe finish up Scalzi's "old Man's War", and there's a bunch of short stories on the net I want to read.
  • Writing: I need to finish up those game reviews, and work on Under the Green Moon.
  • Coffee Shop: Where better to do the above then spending a few hours in a nice coffee shop?

Yep. I'm all set for the weekend. Tons of stuff to do.

TONS of stuff.

...I figure by Monday I'll be screamingly bored.

Yep! And that is STILL the best icon ever.

If I wore T-shirts more often, I’d have to get some of them.
