Consider this also a free advertisement for Mightygodking. It's nice to know he's survived being forced to leave Livejournal after a certain comics writer objected to it being pointed out in a particularly hilarious fashion that he was merely tracing porn photos.

As a sub-title for that particular book, probably not.

As a sub-title for the whole over-arching series? Just about dead on.

I do love (a pretty high percentage of) McAffrey's books but Mary Sue's (and Marty Stu's) do form a considerable portion of her characters...

The problem with McAffery's later stuff, is it makes her earlier works unreadable. For instance, I'm not about to read The Ship who Sang, to see if the rocket is a Mary Sue.

Also, I used to think Menolly was just a cool character, until it was pointed out that she had all the symptoms of a Mary Sue. So I'm just avoiding her stuff from now on.
