The problem with McAffery's later stuff, is it makes her earlier works unreadable. For instance, I'm not about to read The Ship who Sang, to see if the rocket is a Mary Sue.

Also, I used to think Menolly was just a cool character, until it was pointed out that she had all the symptoms of a Mary Sue. So I'm just avoiding her stuff from now on.
