Welcome to...
...livejournal RPGing.
Not willing to go to the effort to start up a pen-n-paper RPG (this being Santa Barbara, I'd have to referee), I have started checking out e-mail and web based RPGs. And so I signed up for the rpg-promo livejournal community.
By my highly informal and probably very inaccurate count, 9 out of 10 of the games advertised were for: Charmed, Angel, Harry Potter, and Final Fantasy. I've never even seen Charmed and Angel. Or played Final Fantasy. And of them, three quarters had a mature themes notice in the age requirement window.
I don't even want to think about mature rated Harry Potter games. The whispers I've heard coming out of the fanfic community are disturbing enough.
*sigh*
