Neophile: Mosaic Tortoises- better camping through bioengineering.

Neophile is a serious of occasional speculations on advanced technology, both whimsical and serious, all filtered through my oddball imagination.

Mosaic Tortoises

One problems with waste reclamation is that often glass and metal trash is discarded in places that it’s difficult, if not impossible for humans to collect; I have been in rugged recreation areas where there have been drifts of broken glass between the rocks, and brass rifle casings scattered under bushes. Obviously, Something Must Be Done- and biotechnology riders to the rescue, to deal with a task to tedious and difficult for humans. We need something that is attracted to trash, something that regards it as a snack.

Enter, the Mosaic Tortoise. )
