Ah Jus Gah a Roo Canal!
And I'm glad they finally got around to doing it. After three weeks of intermittenttooth/jaw aches, swollen glands, and the orthodontist saying "Hmm, it's hard to tell if you need one or not, let's check back next week", I got to spend two hours at lunch drowsing in a dentist's chair.
It went well; my last root canal involved a palette shot which was painful- on this one the shots were as quick and easy as for a regular filing. I'm something of an expert on dental shots- one legacy of my mother is having week teeth like she does- and my orthodontist was very good, using lots and lots of anesthetic. I barely noticed that he was doing a full root canal.
Lets hear it for technology; a hundred years ago my tooth would have been yanked- a thousand years ago I'd be toothless by now (and probably dead, but I digress). Fast acting anesthetic, digital x-ray machines that allowed the x-rays to be displayed on a monitor right in the lab...they even had a credit card machine- yay, no running out to the car for my checkbook (And then getting a call the next day telling me that I had forgotten to come back...)!
The only disappointment is that this time I didn't get photos of my root canal mailed to me. But RXM was disturbed by that particular wallpaper anyway.
