UTGM: Preliminary map of the known world

As one of my projects for my Under the Green Moon setting, I've been working on a map that shows some of the polities and natural hazards of the Hard Fantasy setting. As it turned out, this was more difficult than it seemed, because the setting is Eurasia 30,000+ years from now. It's amazing how difficult it is to find a physical map that doesn't have a lot of current labels on it, so I eventually settled on a satellite map.

The map needs a lot of work, especially listing areas where the climate has changes, like the Western plains. But so far I have listed on the Map are the following:

Polities:
We have three Great Empires, consisting of

Ashurvalian Empire: The oldest empire, usually known as the Old Empire. Dominated by the 12 great Houses, who elect the Masked Emperor and council. Currently wending it's way toward another civil war.

Western Ashura Empire: Officially known as "the Ashura Empire": Dominated by a civil service bureucracy, increasing tension with the wealthy clans and families that select the emperor.

Holy Republic: A gaggle of principalities weakly bound together by an emperor elected by contest, and the system of temples. Considerable intrigue as efforts to more centralize the empire are resisted by the subject nobles.

Nomad Realms: Northern and southern areas dominated by nomadic tribes, ranging from raiders on terror-bird back, to mobile cities.

Ocean nomads: pirates and traders bound in loose allegence to floating cities.

HAZARDS:

The great Wall: in immense wall-city bisecting the northern plains for hundreds of miles. Some parts of it are even inhabited.

The Maze City: Sprawling over hundreds of square miles, much of this ancient megapolis is smashed or melted. It has an evil reputation, but that wont' stop scavengers venturing into the inner areas in search of wealth.

The Crystal Forest: Forests of crystal trees that cover the tallest mountains known. The sound of the wind howling through their tines can drive people mad.

The Black Glass Desert: A huge sheet of featureless tough black glass. It gets incredibly hot during the day, so crossing isn't advised. Some people say it's growing.'
