Change ONE little detail...

I'm considering the ramifications of, instead of the the Pevensies, it's the population of Gilligan's Island that gets brought to Narnia.

Well, Gilligan can fill the position of Lucy fairly well; he's the innocent of the group.

The problem is you have (A) adults and (B) considerably more of them. The bit with adults alone changes the dynamic drastically since the point of Narnia was generally as a sort of gateway to understanding for children.

All of them are basically good people, as far as I can tell. The Skipper tends to be overemotional and dramatic, the Howells are mostly comfort-absorbed (but not incapable of adapting), etc., but they're all decent sorts.

The Professor would be the most dangerous member of the group from the White Witch's point of view; he thinks too much in too many ways to be easily manipulated.

Basically good people, but very flawed. There's been fun attempts to link the cast to the Seven Sins. It would be interesting to see how the witch might target other fatal flares.

I confess I got the idea walking on campus and seeing someone working on one of the old-fashioned street lamps. I flashed on the image of someone working in the Lamp in the Woods, trying to access the magical power source in order to power a radio. Naturally someone needs to trip over the power cable...

The Professor would help them fortify using wooden technology.

I don't really see the Seven Deadly Sins. More the Seven Mildly Irritating Tendencies. I want the Seven Deadly Sins, I go Full Metal. Fullmetal Alchemist:

How that scenario would go, really, would depend on how you interpreted those characters outside of their constrained sitcom existence.

Well, several Nesbit grown-ups are canon, including the First King and Queen of Narnia. At least they're all Nesbit-type grown-ups.

E. Nesbit. Jadis in London, "You ain't capable.", the wise cabbie, Digory's sick mother....

Okay, not canon Nesbit, but clones of her types of adult characters.

That was what I was questioning, the use of "canon". It sounded like you were saying that Lewis was actually using Nesbit's characters from somewhere.
