So did we do good?

Yesterday we bought:

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer ES
38,000 miles
Under Warranty.

We think we did very good.

That's a surprising number of miles on a 2004, but to get such a relatively new car, under warranty, sounds awesome. So, yay! I know nothing about Mitsubishis, tho'.

What happened to your old car, and did you get to take a baseball bat to it first in revenge?

Our old did not have cupholders. This is a lot more crucial to overall driver/passenger happiness than you might think. The morning we were driving to the dealership, we got two large coffees, and, through not having any cupholders, mananged to spill them all over the floor (and me, and my purse). Our theory was that the old car was going, "If I spill coffee all over myself, then they can't trade me in on a new car."

Warts and all, I loved our poor lil' car, and I said a proper goodbye and thank you when the dealer drove it away. (It's the animist in me.)

Our new car has cupholders. Glee. I think the mileage is from it being a rental car. It being a former rental car, however, means that we have the information on every service job it ever had. It also has a more spacious engine compartment than the Infiniti-- service was expensive on the old car because you practically had to take the engine out to change the oil.

AAAAAND cupholders. Cannot overstress the cupholders.

As RXM put it, "It was ridden hard and put away wet". Frankly, we were really hard on that poor car, and it was a trooper to the end. No revenge, only a little bit of guilt.

And it's white.
