My traveling this weekend was more stressful than it had to be: Left four hours late, call from employment agency for last-minute papers that needed to be signed, very little good music for the trip, and a boring ride by myself.

And then I was tailed by another car for about fifteen miles, after midnight on a lonely stretch of highway. THAT was anything BUT boring.

When I noticed the headlights following me just a little too close for comfort, I slowed down to get him to pass- he decided to stay behind me. I sped up well above my usual speed- at 90 he fell behind, but then caught up and kept the same position. This was worrying- there was literally nothing around me but cattle farms- not even any lights, so for about ten miles I sped down the highway, with my tail right behind me, trying to decide how paranoid I was. So when I reached Buelton, I did an abrupt exit- no signal lights- and watched him abruptly pull off as well. So I stopped the car in the lane, and watched him pull into the gas station. I saw the driver- heavy set, crew cut, plaid shirt- looking around, and then when he pulled out, I tore down the street, made a u-turn and found a side street to hid in, lights off, one hand on the speed dial for 911. NO sign of him.

Oddly enough, I didn't get nervous until later- at the time I was mainly annoyed. But it was definitely more unpleasant than the trip home, which was just five hours of battling downpours.

*sigh* but still, seeing RXM for te first time in three weeks made it all worth it.

Wow, that's really scary. I'm really glad he didn't try to attack you or anything.

>_< Glad you were able to get away from him.
