Dancing Epiphany

I always wondered how the people back in the pre-aerobic days managed to stay as fit as they did, without diet plans, exercises targeted to muscle groups, and all that. After the lesson last night, I have a pretty good idea.

They danced.

Unlike the exercise in frustration that was the group instruction the other week, our free private lesson was brilliant. [livejournal.com profile] racerxmachina and I fitted together and moved perfectly, and after the instructor showed us how to stand properly, my arm didn't even get stiff from being held out. It was a very basic lesson, but it went splendidly, and was a LOT of fun.

So, in the upcoming year, we are going to take the private lesson course, and begin dancing regularly. It's going to be a fun hobby to do together.

*Your lady wife coughs quietly, gestures to lj-code lying strewn about*

I am so, so, psyched about this!

Warning: If your upper arms ache from the position you're holding them... You're doing it right. My problem was getting my shoulders from taking all the strain, which doesn't work.

Which dance(s) are you doing? Or is it a selection?

And why do you have a "Cosplay Magic" google ad on this post... :)
