I try hard not to laugh

It's not surprising that Alice would find that if she rolls over while being petted, she will fall off the footstool with a  "plop!".  Which then takes lots of petting and soothing words to settle her affronted dignity.

What IS surprising is to find out she will do the same thing AGAIN.

And yes, I totally failed in the "not laughing" part.

Refined young ladies do not plop. How dare you imply that?

How do you know she isn't doing it on purpose to get more petting?

Every "female" knows how to push the right buttons, to get the required responses...

(ducking for cover!)

Wanna read about another "female feline"? check chapter "A Dozen". (http://community.livejournal.com/storytime_itr/)

P.S.
[That's the chapter between 11 and 13, bye the way...] ->grin<-
