Whee! Election Night Games!

So, does anybody want to start a betting pool for when McCain concedes?

I vote for 12:00 EST, 9:00 PST.

And should we have a separate betting pool (measured in days) for when Palin surren- err concedes?

Ready, Steady, GO!

For what it's worth, concession speech came at 8:17, PST. I'm a bit chagrined that I was off so much- I should have realized he would pretty much concede as soon as the California polls closed.

Don't get cocky, kid. Initial numbers are hardly a landslide.

But that's the FUN of doing a betting pool! I mean, if McCain somehow scrapes out a victory, we can just pool the money and start a betting line for the date in his first term when he kicks it!

I'm more curious what will happen to Sarah Palin in the coming years.

Blissful obscurity one hopes.

Unfortunately no. The same social conservative elites that headhunted her, are bound and determined to make sure she stays on the scene until 2012.

Already the knife-sharpeners have been muttering that no fault can be attached to Palin, that it's all McCain's fault. Evidently the view is that if the GOP had just gone with a straight social conservative line, God would have ensured a win.

So sadly, we'll see more of her.
