I really can't decide...

That is, I can't decide which are more annoying: the gamers who believe they are real-life ninjas, or the gamers that believe they are real-life vampires.

Maybe I should do a poll on this.

Vamposers are more annoying. At least the ones who want to be ninja value the *ideas* of physical fitness, completing goals, and dedication to a cause, whereas the vamposers want everything handed to them. All the modern interpretations of being turned into a vampire say that you'll magically be thin, beautiful, well-dressed, and have awesome powers, without actually having to work for anything. The rest is snarky politicking. Wannabe honor-warriors vs entitled brats? I pick the former.

I should include the caveat that I don't think ALL Vampire players are like that... only the ones who take it too literally instead of just being a dramatic game genre.

I did specify people who think they are vampires or ninjas in real life.

Unfortunately the ninja wannabes I've met aren't all that much into the ideal of physical fitness. Evidently their massive Ki powers gained from reading "The Deadly Arts of the Ninja" make exercise unneeded.

Vamposers. What a marvelous word.

I second it!

I'm torn on this one...

This is a tough call for me: but first let me congradulate you Pixie - Vamposers...that ROCKS, that so completely rocks. On the one hand I agree with your assessment of Vamposers all the way down the line, but the oozing angst-filled-whiners have reached such an apex of cliche' that at this point they seem like window dressing to me. Which makes them easy to ignore. I've had actual direct experience with the ninja wannabees: I once beat up and gave a wedgy to a ninja/vamposer (which is really asking for it anyways) after he pulled out a set of nunchakus in a game and nearly hit someone.
