I really can't decide...

That is, I can't decide which are more annoying: the gamers who believe they are real-life ninjas, or the gamers that believe they are real-life vampires.

Maybe I should do a poll on this.

The vampire wannabes, of course. Ninja wannabes will simply fail at ninja-ing, while vampire wannabes might get spit on someone before they fail.

Vamposers are more annoying. At least the ones who want to be ninja value the *ideas* of physical fitness, completing goals, and dedication to a cause, whereas the vamposers want everything handed to them. All the modern interpretations of being turned into a vampire say that you'll magically be thin, beautiful, well-dressed, and have awesome powers, without actually having to work for anything. The rest is snarky politicking. Wannabe honor-warriors vs entitled brats? I pick the former.

Definitely would-be ninjas - they tend to go around bragging about their alleged skillz and are not infrequently armed with weapons they can use to hurt themselves and others.

OTOH, most vamposers just wander around dressed in black and either brooding or attempting to look spooky. Even if they start bragging, there won't be shuriken involved.

Well thank goodness you didn't diss on those gamers who think they are Pirate Ninjas!

You mean I'm not a ninja-vampire?

Well, that explains the squat, Caucasian body and the complete lack of dexterity. It doesn't explain, however, why the sun hates me and burns me at every opportunity. You'd think one would get super strength and speed for such a disadvantage...but you'd be wrong...

The alleged real-life vampires are more annoying.

Of course, as a youth, I would dress in all black, carry shuriken and sneak around my neighborhood.

I didn't realize there were enough of either to be a demographic worth noticing. I knew one gamer who thought she was a jedi.

And once again the ads on LJ creep me out. The this case, the IMVU ads featuring a vampire avatar and a fainting female avatar with bite marks on the neck.

Goddamn word-mining programs.
