Wow- it's been ages since I've found something noteworthy to write about.

Tonight we went to see Billy Collins, the poet laureate of the United States. I can see why he has the title, he's quite a wonderful poet to hear- not at all pretentious and dry. His poems are easy to read, funny, witty, and sneakily profound, with subjects like Nostalgia, or Nightclub. My favorite poems of the evening naturally, aren't listed online. That just means I'll have to buy his books until I find them.

There was of course one fly in the ointment- the woman who sat next to us wearing perfume that must have come from a chemical warfare plant. I was sitting one away from her, and it was intolerable; Sandy was sitting next to her, and I can imagine how she felt.

Actually, she just spent time in the bathroom being sick. The perfume was THAT awful. I'm going to go now to comfort her.
