An experiment: switching terminology
May. 13th, 2005 11:53 amWe’ve switched the subject’s description of his day from office to CRPG terminology. Let’s see if he notices.
”We’re getting a new Level Boss in my Level soon and today she visited her new office, so there’s a degree of quiet excitement throughout the Game. My Lieutenant Boss is getting together to plan the transition with the Fiscal Level Boss, the IT Level Boss is enlisting my help to install the computers and phones, and even the Big Boss (formerly my Level’s Level Boss) has poked her head in to see how things are going. Even minions from other Levels have found an excuse to come over here on business."
"What this will mean for myself and the other minions I’m not certain- I’m still a bit sorry the old Level Boss got promoted, since she was excellent at her job, and brought out the best in her Lieutenants and minions. The new Level Boss is younger than the old Level Boss, and seems dynamic and active, which is good. It’s been a while since the last Level Boss left, and it’s good that now our Level will have direction."
"In other news, we’re having a minor fight with other Levels because they keep pilfering our office supplies- my department’s Sub Boss has fired off a number of e-mails to other department’s Lieutenant Bosses about the situation, and has started contacting the Level Bosses to have them order their own supplies. A good thing, because our budget is getting stretched thin enough as is. Hopefully this won’t be the first issue to great the new Level Boss in the transition."
This works better than I thought. What this says about my job, I don't want to say.
