The registration go-around
Nov. 8th, 2005 01:24 pmRegistering my car today was fun- for a masochist.
For a start, the DMV lady was very thorough- and slow. I think all the rigmarole around the smogging of my car confused her, so I got to watch the clock move closer and closer to the end of lunch while she tried to figure out what the screen and forms were saying. Then there was a slight bit of confusion about payment, since we paid both by mail, and at the DMV office previously. I owed $800.00 dollars, no, I owed $3.00, no I owed $23.00, no...I was owed a $74.00 refund.
But finally, I did manage to escape just in time to get back to work. And I now have a nice red tag for my car, only several months late.
Now we can sell the damn thing.
