I'm not at all surprised.
Nov. 7th, 2006 10:04 pmPleased with the election results, but not surprised.
Really, I knew the Republicans were going to take a bath when GWB came on TV and said confidently, that the Republicans WERE going to retain control. I mean, look who was saying this: the guy who has been making confident announcements about the Iraq war, insurgents, and other pronouncements in the "light at the end of the tunnel" vein. At this point, the poor sap has achieved such a wonderful level of consistency in his level of accuracy, that if he were to comment on the saltiness of the seas, I would have to taste the water, just to prove that the water isn't sweet.
Now I'm waiting for him to confidently state that Rumsfeld and Cheney most definitely won't be looking for work in the next year. It might be our only hope for dealing with the Iraq quagmire.
