Game proposal: Team 7
Nov. 27th, 2006 07:08 pmIt's been a while since I've run one of my odd games (a few of you may remember one of the last ones I did, on a Halloween ages ago), but now that I'm FINALLY in the Bay area and have a place to host, I've decided to bite the bullet and run a game, probably starting some time after the holidays, or as soon as I get enough people together. Accordingly, here's the basic information on it:
TEAM 7
The time is now, the place The bay Area. Behind the facade of normal life, in the dark shadowed corners of the city, live the remnants of myth, of legend...you know the rest. Anyway, the player characters are part of Team 7, which is either a government agency, a conspiracy, or a department of the SFPD (depending on whom you ask) that is dedicated to protecting humanity from supernaturals that prey on humanity...and vice versa. All while keeping the truth hidden from humanity at large. Your motto is to Serve, Protect and Conceal.
One of the themes I want to explore in this game is that the supernatural may have as much if not more to fear from humanity as the other way around- and not just from being hunted. Though the game will have a humorous, possibly satiric bent to it, there will be plenty of room for seriousness as well. Though there will be an overarching background plot (maybe), the sessions themselves will be episodic, mission-based, and fairly short.
I'm hoping to run this at least once every two weeks, though depending on schedules, once a month may be workable. I'll be setting up a Google Calendar page so anyone who's interested can put in there free times. The system I'd like to use is Risus, which is incredibly simple (learning the system and creating a character takes less than ten minutes) but very flexible, and perfect form what I have in mind.
And FINALLY:
That's right- I'll be making a dish before the game. SO It's gaming, and I'll cook for you.
Anyone interested?
