OK, I can't resist posting this...

You know, you'd think a canny old campaigner like McCain would manage to avoid situations that give the press straight lines like this:

I mean, never mind his giving up one of the supposedly hotly contested "battleground" states, the material it makes for puns and your odd double entendre is going to do quite enough damage on it's own. I mean, he may have the approval of the Pope now, but did he leave Michigan unsatisfied? And so on.

Maybe he's doing it based on sound strategy (or not), but just giving up the state makes him LOOK weak. And in a Presidential campaign this close, that's a bad move indeed.
