Maybe it's contagious...
Jan. 18th, 2005 07:09 amSo RXM is sleeping soundly and naturally, her insomnia crisis over. As for me, I woke up at 3:30 this morning, my mind frantically trying to figure out how I can fit in a car repair between the doctors appointments and work I have this week. Around 5:30 I gave up and came out into the living room and bummed around on the internet.
RXMs problem was an equation of Stress + Anti-inflammatory Meds (stimulant) + Sudafed (stimulant). Until Saturday morning I made the mistake of thinking it was purely stress related. For my part though, unless my hot chocolate had stims in it,, this is pure stress, since the car problem isn't enough to keep me lying in bed with my mind racing.
The annoying thing is that all the lying in bed thinking didn't help- the earliest I can take my car in to get the steering looked at is Thursday. The steering is sluggish, and the people at Jiffy Lube said the steering fluid level was OK. The mechanic mentioned "rack and pinion steering" in a way that made me nervous. If the mechanic ends up keeping the car, that's going to be a major problem with the wedding days away.
OK, maybe that IS enough to keep me awake.
