Sing, Sing a Song...

Had a lot of fun doing of all things, karoke last night...and this morning. Got together with a whole bunch of friends in a small bar out in the wilds of concord, with some country music fans, a young and hip wedding party, and a couple fans of Sinatra. So the music ranged all over the place, with the highlights of the evening turning out to be U2's "New years Day", Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" (complete with girl backup), and Benny Hills- err Billy Joel's "Only the Good Die Young". I also found it interesting that even songs I once found massively annoying were fun, when separated from being overplayed on the radio by ten years. I never thought I would find myself singing along with "Mambo Number 5".

I attribute it to the alcohol. Really. But it was all a huge amount of fun.
