Synopsies, the aftermath

So, I really enjoyed the synopsis game, and I'm thrilled that people had a good time.  Everyone did very well, so there's only two questions left.  i'll toss these out before I put this game to rest for a while.
 

(Movie) "Two children interfere with a military archaeological expedition, and indirectly cause the deaths of nearly everyone on the island."

(Hint: it's by the same person who did one of the other items in the list.)

(Book) A man committed to an institution escapes, takes a long drive, and decides to kill his brother.
